Prof: Kaiser Von Powderhorn 3 (Mixtape)

After "New Kid" and the video for "Me Boi," Prof has now released his newest mixtape, Kaiser Von Powderhorn 3, in full. It's a free download at Prof's Bandcamp site, and features Slug and Yelawolf, as well as production from Lazerbeak. Stream it below.

Prof: "Me Boi" (Music Video)

If you thought Prof had reached his limit for how ridiculous his videos can be, think again. His latest, for "Me Boi," off his upcoming Kaiser Von Powdorhorn 3 mixtape and directed by Adam Dunn, features him punching a lot of men (and some women), breaking shit, parading around town to Planned Parenthood and Hennepin County Medical Center with a bottle of Jameson and three very pregnant women. Don't even bothering acting surprised at this point.

Prof: "New Kid" ft. Yelawolf

Prof's Kaiser Von Powerhorn 3 is coming out on September 25 and the first single from that project is here, "New Kid," which features a high profile guest in Yelawolf.

Prof: "Peep Show" (Music Video)

"Peep Show" is Prof's fourth music video off of the King Gampo album, and it's as equally original as the previous three.

Prof: "Myself" (Music Video)

Prof's latest video off of King Gampo is not what many have come to expect from the Minneapolis rapper. Free of the antics of his previous videos, "Myself" addresses more serious issues. Here is Prof's take on the video:
The video for "myself" is something far different than anything we have done before. I've always had a problem with people labeling me a "party rapper" after seeing my videos for the singles we put out. I do love to have a good time, but those are just the singles. If they would listen through whole albums, they would know I am more than that.
The video itself is very different. My previous video releases have been over the top, high production value, wild shit. This video is up-front and very personal. It's meant to ruin peoples' days. CHEERS.
"Myself" was produced by Cory Grindberg and the video was directed by Adam Dunn.

Prof: King Gampo Tour Recap (Video)

Check out what antics Prof has been up to during his recent King Gampo tour. The tour sold out eight of fourteen shows, congrats to Prof, Fundo, and the Stophouse team.

Prof: "Gampo" (Music Video)

Back in November Prof released the music video to "Need Your Love." It's a ridiculous piece of satire so bizarre it's brilliant. This morning he delivered yet another absurd and farcical music video for "Gampo," off his free album King Gampo. I'm having trouble finding ways to describe it in writing, so please just watch it yourself.

Orikal Uno: +1 EP

Orikal Uno came up with a neat idea for a quick-hitter EP. It's called +1, because each of the three tracks contain a single guest. Featured along with Orikal Uno on these tracks are Sab the Artist (Musab), Mac Lethal, and Prof.

Prof: King Gampo (Full Album Download)

You may remember Prof's announcement of his new album King Gampo because of its wonderfully creative and extensive preorder package. Well, the album came out about a week ago, but what I didn't realize is that Prof actually made the whole thing available for free. Check out the album below, go download it, and make sure to award this man's generosity by supporting him at one of his live shows.

Atmosphere: "Minnesota Nice ft. Prof, Mr. Gene Poole & Felipe Cuauhtli"

Creating tour-specific songs seems to be the new trend for Rhymesayers artists, championed by Brother Ali (see "The Freshest Kids" and "Breakin' Dawn Boys"). This time around it's Atmosphere's turn, as the band released "Minnesota Nice" for their 5-date Welcome To Minnesota mini-tour. The posse-cut features Prof (of Stophouse), Mr. Gene Poole (of Dynospectrum!) & Felipe Cuauhtli (of Los Nativos). A big shout out, as always, to Rhymesayers Entertainment.

Prof: Kaiser Von Powderhorn 2 (EP)

Prof just released his new EP, Kaiser Von Powderhorn 2, via Stophouse.
Brace yourself, kiddies. Prof is back with the second installment of his Kaiser Von Powderhorn EP series. This much anticipated follow-up to his first Kaiser EP features eight of Prof's most humorous and polished tracks to date. The upbeat, light-hearted Kaiser Von Powderhorn 2 makes a perfect party soundtrack. Each track reinforces Prof’s status as the best Twin Cities MC, as he switches seamlessly between playfully pawing at and powerfully pouncing on the beat.
Highly dubious claims from that press release aside, Prof is no slouch on the mic, and this should be an enjoyable EP. The download link is below, but keep in mind that you can also purchase the physical copy of the EP at Fifth Element or online at the Stophouse store.
