A.R.M.: "Refuse To Lose ft. Muja Messiah & Dodi Phy" (LIve at Soundset 2010)
I'm in the crowd somewhere there watching A.R.M. tear it down with this guest-heavy track on Two Africans and a Jew. Let's be honest, though, wasn't Budo one of the best surprises of the entire day? That man was killing it on the guitar and horns with Grieves and A.R.M.

A.R.M.: "Resist"
A.R.M. just launched their new website, so they decided to let loose a freebie that will not be featured on their upcoming Two Africans and a Jew, Vol. 1 EP (which can be pre-ordered at the website). Clap for 'em.A.R.M.: "Resist"

Krukid: "Soundset Theme Song" (Video)
Krukid put together an unofficial Soundset theme song, which I just spotted at the official Soundset blog. Speaking of which, City Pages just named Soundset the best Twin Cities music festival. Anyway, you should all know that Krukid is no slouch lyrically, so this playful track is chock full of clever punchlines. While Krukid is just one-third of the mighty A.R.M., his rhyming partner M.anifest makes an appearance in a bonus video below to hype up their debut EP, Two Africans and a Jew.

A.R.M.: Two Africans and a Jew EP (Artwork)
M.anifest just posted the very fresh artwork for the upcoming A.R.M. (M.anifest, Krukid, & Budo) EP, Two Africans and a Jew. He says they have a tremendous collaboration with Slug on the project. Should be something to look forward to in the near future.

A.R.M.: "Slow Your Roll"
Some new stuff from A.R.M., and some insight from M.anifest about the song:A.R.M.: "Slow Your Roll"After releasing the joint with Brother Ali, we thought it would be useful to properly answer the "who the hell is A.R.M.?" question by liberating a series of songs that tell the story of our formation. It all began with this joint, "slow your roll," - the very first joint the vocal section of A.R.M., Krukid (Uganda) and myself (Ghana), ever worked on.It felt very organic, and despite being two cats from opposite ends of the continent our shared experiences certainly made it feel like the most effortless rap collab either of us had ever had. We later met up with the ultra-talented production arm (no pun intended) of our crew, Budo (Seattle) and the A.R.M. trifecta was born. This joint, though, is produced by O-D.

A.R.M.: "I Shine ft. Supastition"
Upon the completion of the group's upcoming full-length LP, Uprising, A.R.M. has decided to release one of their favorite tracks, "I Shine," featuring North Carolina rapper Supastition. Though this song will not be featured on their album, it is yet another gem trio, and a preview of what's more to come. Speaking of which, next up for the group is A.R.M.'s first official video release, "Heaven Only Knows," featuring none other than Brother Ali. That song will be on Uprising, so stay tuned.

A.R.M.: "Blame My Ego" (Download + Behind The Scenes Video)
A.R.M. (M.anifest and Krukid) is scheduled to release their yet-untitled album in a short matter of time. While we wait for that, below is a download of their song "Blame My Ego," and a "making of" reenactment of their video for the song.

Introducing A.R.M. (M.anifest, Krukid, Budo)

What a terrific day. Sun, nice weather, bumpin' that new Muja, and now I come home and see this in the inbox. Ghana native and Minneapolis rapper M.anifest is officially the homie, he sent word over about this new project he's a part of. And you need to check this out.
A.R.M. is apparently a trio, composed of M.anifest, Ugandan emcee Krukid, and Seattle producer Budo. A.R.M. is an acronym for African Rebel Movement, and I'll be the first to admit that if these first two promo singles are any indication, they are making some seriously dope music. These guys have also been grinding for a while, it seems. Krukid has got a couple solo albums out that I'm definitely investigating, Budo is killing the production on these couple tracks, and us Minnesotans already know about M.anifest. Download the songs, pass them on to your friends, and keep promoting good music. I'm peacin' out to enjoy the night now. One hundred.
