Ill Poetic: "Autonomy"
Ill Poetic has been fairly inactive on the music front in recent years, so it's nice to see him return with such a quality song — and hopefully a new album in the future. "Autonomy" is a fitting "comeback" track. It features Ill Poetic rapping in a choppy and occasionally conversational flow about his penchant for taking his time to release new material. It's clear that this isn't a half-cooked concept sent out to generate blog fodder. I'm excited to see what he's got next in line.

Ill Poetic: "Autumn Addict"
Here's some new material from Ill Poetic, who has become prolific as of late. I posted his last track, "Gone", in early November. Ill Poetic also provided a little commentary about this track, here's what he had to say: Autumn has always been my favorite season. Except for the reminder of a bleak-ass winter on the horizon (AKA in like five days), I always dug the stages of Fall. It’s always been a naturally nostalgic season for me. I’m assuming it’s like that for a lot of people. Not to get super-deep, but lately it feels like a season for remembering what your childhood was like, and the relationship you had with your parents as a kid versus the relationship you have with them now.Ill Poetic: "Autumn Addict"
This verse is kind of an extension of the last line from the “Gone” song I sent out a few weeks ago. If “Gone” was the decision to get on the bus and bounce, this is what goes through your head on that bus ride. I’m a bus rider at heart, and a lot of my favorite verses come from bus rides. This is one of them.

Ill Poetic: "Gone"
A couple of years ago, Ill Poetic decided to quit his job, move from his hometown Cincinnati, and pursue a full-time career in music. He describes this new song as the closing chapter of The World is Ours story, and a recap of everything that's happened since then.Tuesday, December 22, 2009
Illogic: "Graveyard" (Prod. Ill Poetic)
Via Illogic: Hey, hope everyone is having a nice holiday experience. Just wanted to round out the end of the year with a lost Illogic song from the Diabolical Fun sessions: "Graveyard" (prod. by ill poetic) is an unreleased song that didn't make the final version of Illogic's Diabolical Fun (released earlier this year). The song originally closed out the album, but was cut because it just seemed a little too dark for the overall feel of the record (the song sounds like it looks outside). We figured we'd give something away for free for the holidays to remind people of Illogic's comeback LP as well as his current Greenhouse EP with Blueprint.Illogic: "Graveyard" (Prod. Ill Poetic: "Drawing Board Rhyme Scheme"
Ill Poetic hit me with this track at the start of last weekend, but I decided to hold on to it until today. It's his installment in the DJBooth.net freestyle series. He produced the track as well.Ill Poetic: "Drawing Board Rhyme Scheme"

Illogic: "1000 Whispers" + "Crash ft. Ill Poetic"
Ill Poetic just emailed me a heads up on these videos. They were shot during Illogic's Diabolical Fun release party. He also had some good news to share: "New Greenhouse Effect (illogic & blueprint) on Weightless this Summer: Print and Ill will be out on the road in support of it this summer as well, as will I."

Zone: "Clap ft. Illogic & Illpoetic"
Ill Poetic just hit me with this new single from Zone, of Cincinnati, that will be on his upcoming That Dude Mixtape. Ill Poetic and Illogic both have guest verses on the song, and Ill Poetic handled the production as well. The mixtape will be released as a free download in late July in anticipation of Zone's album with Mick Boogie, That Dude, which will feature guest spots from Illogic, Naledge, Tanya Morgan, Ill Poetic, and T3 of Slum Village.Zone: "Clap ft. Ill Poetic: "Legendary ft. Zone & T3" + Re:Definition Tour Announcement
Ill Poetic just sent me an email containging the press release for his upcoming Re:Definition tour, as well as a banging promotional track featuring himself, Zone, an up and coming Cincinnati artist who will be joining in on the tour, and Slum Village's T3. The track will appear on Zone's mixtape, which has presumably in-the-works title and a tentative release date for sometime this summer. If the tour comes through your town (check dates in the poster above), make sure to stop by and show some love.Ill Poetic: "Legendary ft. Zone & T3"

Illogic: Diabolical Fun
A day late on this, but I just wanted to remind you about the collaboration album between Illogic and Ill Poetic, Diabolical Fun. It dropped yesterday, and although I haven't heard it in its entirety, the odds are good that this is an incredibly dope album. Order it at the Weightless Recordings online store.

Ill Poetic: "Move (Remix) ft. Illogic, Iyan, RideOut, Donwill, & Skandal"
Ill Poetic is a dope emcee/producer from Cincinnati. This track right here is a remix of the song of the same name off of his 2007 album, The World Is Ours. Get familiar with this man. Oh, yeah, and there's a ton of other dudes on this track too. I'm busy, so do some research on your own.Ill Poetic: "Move (Remix) ft. Illogic, Iyan, RideOut, Donwill, & Skandal"
